A knitter since early childhood, Diane turned to knitting as a full-time career in 1997. She purchased Machine Knitters Source at that time, and 3 years later started INKnitters magazine. Both publications are heavy in article content, with 12 to 14 designs in each issue from designers around the country. Diane's personal design style emphasizes techniques and garment silhouettes.
